Budget amendment would strip funding for Heritage Areas

On July 25, 2011 freshman congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) submitted an amendment to the US Department of Interior Appropriations bill that would eliminate funding for National Heritage Areas.

Interestingly enough, North Dakota Rep. Rick Berg (R) did not vote at all on that amendment. The roll call vote is HERE.
